It was officially announced via social media by the Mid-Prairie School district on Tuesday that the Golden Hawks have found their new baseball coach. Mid-Prairie alum Kyle Mullet will take over head coaching duties in the 2021 season. Mullet, a 2012 graduate, was a member of the Golden Hawk baseball program from 2009-12. He appeared in 83 games for the Golden Hawks during his playing career, hitting over .300 with 74 runs scored, 65 total hits, and 51RBI. On the mound he threw 40 innings with 4-2 record.

Mullet has been serving in various capacities on the Mid-Prairie baseball coaching staff since 2017 when he started as freshman coach. He inherits a Mid-Prairie program coming off of their first conference title since 2000 and first state tournament appearance since 2007.
