In the season series rubber match between the two schools, it was Columbus that got by Pekin in the first round of the class 2A regional volleyball tournament in Packwood Monday. After splitting two regular season meetings, the Wildcats got the win by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 23-25, 19-25 and 15-7. On the night, Columbus was led by Olivia Carrier with 14 kills, Jobie Lekwa with 20 assists and Emma Milder with 17 digs. With the win, the Wildcats are now 11-13 on the year and advance to the quarterfinal round of the regional tournament Wednesday when they travel to Durant.
