Stopping a dangerous New London run game was too tall of a task for the WACO football team on Friday, as the Warriors fell in a first round 8-player game 52-6 on the road.

The Tigers scored the game’s first three scores before the Warriors got on the board in the second quarter with a six-yard touchdown pass from Will Edeker to Kolton Connelly to make it a 19-6 contest at half. New London quickly salted the game away with four third quarter touchdowns including three from Blaise Porter. The Tigers racked up 360 yards rushing including 105 of them coming from Porter while the WACO offense could only generate 25 yards on the ground. Edeker was nine of 21 through the air for 93 yards and a score. Simeon Reichenbach hauled in three passes for 65 yards and Colton Leichty led the defense with seven tackles. New London forced four turnovers on the night.

The Warriors conclude their season at 3-5 and bid farewell to four seniors in Edeker, Connelly, Landan Provino, and Chancey Miller.
