The Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association released their week seven poll for cross country. In the class 2A team rankings the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls moved back to No. 1 after a week at No. 2. The Golden Hawk girls were team champions at the Hillcrest Academy Invitational on Monday. The Hawks have four ranked runners in their lineup led by Danielle Hostetler at No. 1. She was the individual champion at Hillcrest. Also ranked are Sydney Yoder No. 4, Jaden Yoder No. 6 and Mitzi Evans No. 11.
The Mid-Prairie boys ranked No. 5 in class 2A. The Hawks finished fourth at Hillcrest with Jamison Stutzman third invidually. Stutzman is one of three ranked Mid-Prairie boys, checking in at No. 15 this week. Thaddeus Shetler is No. 10 and Chandler Hershberger No. 19.
Lance Sobaski of the Washington boys team is ranked No. 28 in class 3A this week. He finished 12th at the Hillcrest Invitational on Monday. The Columbus boys are listed as a team to watch in class 1A.
