The Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association released their latest set of cross country rankings for the 2020 season this week with the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks staying put. The Mid-Prairie girls remain in the No. 1 spot in class 2A for the fifth straight week. They were last in action over a week ago at the Heartland Classic in Pella where they finished seventh in a stacked field of ranked class 3A and 4A teams. The Mid-Prairie boys also at No. 3, their second straight week in that position, following a 10th place team showing at the same event in Pella.

The Mid-Prairie girls have three ranked runners in their lineup, and they are considered the three best 2A runners in the state sitting 1-2-3 atop the individual poll with Danielle Hostetler followed by Sydney and Jaden Yoder. The Mid-Prairie boys have a ranked trio was well with Thaddeus Shetler at No. 11, Jamsion Stutzman No. 16 and Chandler Hershberger No. 20. The Golden Hawk boys and girls cross country teams will next run Monday at the Iowa City Kickers Complex.
