Southeastern Community College in Burlington will be the host site for the Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball tournament finals today and a few area teams are competing for a title.

Winfield-Mt. Union swept Columbus in pool play on Thursday to advance to today’s finals and they are slotted as the four seed with #5 seeded West Burlington being their first opponent. The Wolves are 15-4 overall while the Falcons are 11-2. The winner of that quarterfinal match will square off with top-seeded Holy Trinity.

WACO is the third seed and they will open the tournament with #6 Central Lee. The Warriors swept Highland and Wapello on Thursday to advance and they come in with a 19-1 record including a 17 match win streak. The Hawks are 14-5 and these two squads met up last week with WACO coming out on top of a five set thriller. Two-seeded New London awaits the winner in the semifinal round.

The single elimination tournament with sets that are best of three begins at 4 p.m. this evening with one match happening at a time.
