The WACO Warrior volleyball team cruised through Thursday’s pool play round of the Southeast Iowa Superconference Tournament in Wayland. The No. 13 in class 1A Warriors swept through the Highland Huskies and Wapello Arrows on a perfect night. WACO went through Highland 25-11 and 25-10. The Warriors were led in the win by Morgan Graber with eight kills. Grace Coble had 18 assists and Aubri Garnsey led the Warrior defense with eight digs.

Against the Arrows, the Warriors were winners by 25-17 and 25-11 scores. Graber had 10 kills in the win to go along with 19 assists from Coble and 16 digs from Garnsey. With the sweep the Warriors improve to 19-1 overall and will be in action Saturday in the finals of the Superconference Tournament where they will meet Central Lee at Southeastern Community College in Burlington.

Along with their loss to WACO, Highland was beaten by Wapello in three sets 25-20, 13-25 and 15-9.
