Tools, pottery, sewing machines, and more will be available for purchase at the Kalona Historical Village tag sale. The sale is being held to help with general expenses of the historical village. Items in the tag sale either no longer met the mission of promoting the history and culture of the Kalona area or are no longer used in their displays. Community members will be able to purchase Singer treadle sewing machines, sad irons, brushed McCoy pottery, and other vintage and historical items. The event will be held at the Wahl Museum in Kalona, just off Highway 22, on Friday September 25 from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. and Saturday September 26 from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. Masks will be required, and a limit of 10 people will be allowed inside the building at one time.
