A man is in jail after driving onto the sidewalk in front of the Highland Elementary School and being charged with operating while intoxicated. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 3:24 p.m. Monday the vehicle driven by 49-year-old Brian Jon Hahn of Iowa City drove up onto the sidewalk in Riverside in front of the elementary school.

Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded and arrested Hahn for operating while intoxicated first offense and child endangerment. No injuries were reported. Hahn was taken to the Washington County Jail.
