Knoll Ridge Golf Course is the site of a major cross country meet in Southeast Iowa tonight. Six KCII area teams will travel to North English to run at the annual English Valleys Invitational.

The Hillcrest Ravens are back on the course for the first time since their early bird meet opened the season September 1st. At the event they were led by an eighth place finish from junior Leah Bontrager on the girls side and Collin Miller in 21st for the boys.

The Highland Huskies ran at Keota last week where the Highland boys were fourth with 131 points while the girls did not post a team score.

Keota last ran at Colfax-Mingo on Thursday where the Eagles had Ryan Lawson take 46th and Noah Fisher 64th.

The Savages last ran at Lagos Acres in Keota a week ago. They were led by Mason Moore’s individual runner-up finish for the boys and Georgia Atwood in 27th for the girls.

WACO also ran last at Keota with Jonah Egli taking fourth for the boys and McKenzie Vradenberg 12th in the girls race.

At Keota, the Lone Tree boys were third in the team standings with Alberto Cortes finishing eighth.

Joining those six teams today are BGM, Durant, HLV, Iowa Valley, North Mahaska, Twin Cedars, Wapello, Wilton and homestanding Bears. Action begins at 4:30 and continues into the evening in North English.
