A round-robin volleyball tournament took place in Wilton on Saturday with Winfield-Mt. Union and Hillcrest Academy participating.

The Wolves headlined the area teams finishing in a tie for second by going 3-2. They defeated the Ravens, Midland, and Lisbon, but lost to Mount Pleasant and eventual tournament champs Wilton. The matches against Mount Pleasant and Lisbon went the full three sets before a winner was decided. Jenna Buffington led the offense with 33 kills on the day and Bradie Buffington had 21. Keely Malone registered 36 assists while Kyndal Townsley had 37 digs and was successful on 25 of 31 serves with eight aces. 

Hillcrest Academy went 1-4 by sweeping Midland and falling to Wilton, Lisbon, Mount Pleasant, and the Wolves. Esther Hughes paced the offense with 12 kills and Sophie Marshall had 10. Norah Yoder generated 16 assists and Grace Miller led the defense with 35 digs.

WMU moves to 9-4 and Hillcrest sits at 1-10.
