The Columbus Wildcat football team ran into a buzz saw Friday night, falling to top 10 Lisbon by a 57-0 score on the road. The No. 7 Lions wasted no time taking control of the contest, leading 26-0 after one frame and enjoying a 44-0 lead at the half. In the second half, Lisbon would score a touchdown in each of the third and fourth quarters. The Wildcat offense had a tough time getting much going, accruing just 25 yards of total offense in the game, 21 of those coming on the ground from Andrew Gonzales on 12 carries. The Wildcats did not complete a pass. Gauge Storm and Kaden Amigon led the Columbus defense with eight tackles each. Lisbon put up 461 yards of total offense, including 443 on the ground. The Wildcats turned the ball over once on the night. With the loss Columbus is now 1-2 with a trip to Highland coming next week.
