7-day-rain-forecast-ending-9-15-20

Temperatures shifted nearly 40 degrees from Monday to Tuesday as it started to feel like fall in the KCII listening area. According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures Monday reached 91 degrees and the low overnight into Tuesday dropped to 52 degrees. Rain accompanied the cooler temperatures.

Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator Marissa Reisen shares that you’ll want to start preparing supplies for cooler temperatures. She encourages people to get your car, wardrobe, and home ready, “If you haven’t, I know it seems kind of early to do this, but if you haven’t done your annual check on your furnace you might want to do that soon. Because, especially if you have little kids in the house, like I do, you might actually have to turn that on to keep them warm.”

Also, Reisen reminds drivers to turn on their headlights any time they have their windshield wipers on.

Rain is expected with high temperatures in the 60’s leading up to the weekend. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
