The Louisa County Ambulance has received a $15,000 grant from Tyson Foods in Columbus Junction. The money will be used for their new ambulance truck fund. The service looks to replace their 22-year-old rig. Along with funds raised from the annual BBQ Smoke Off Fundraiser and trivia night fundraiser, $25,000 has been raised of the $250,000 needed for the new ambulance. Louisa County Ambulance Volunteer Public Relations Chairman Aimee Boul says the service is applying for more grants and would be appreciative of any donations from community members.
