The Washington Public Library is continuing services on an appointment basis. Library Director Bryna Walker says the doors remain locked but people can make appointments for half an hour for regular services or up to an hour to use the library’s computers.

She explains they have a new online catalog called Apollo, “And it’s great, I think people are going to love it. It has a kids’ catalog. And you simply click on the tab that says kids’ catalog and then you may go to any sort of topic on there, like I said frogs, or dinosaurs, or volcanoes. And then it will bring up all the books we have in those particular areas, it also will bring up series for you.”

The library is maintaining its curbside pickup of materials for patrons. Any items that are checked out and returned are then quarantined for four days before going back into circulation. People can return items at the drop box at the front door or in the drive-up alley box.
