The Lone Tree boys and girls of summer faced off with Wapello on Tuesday for Southeast Iowa Super Conference action and ended the night with a split.

The baseball team came back from a 3-0 early deficit to down the Indians at home 6-4. The Lions belted 12 hits with Cade Shield, Adam Knock, and Keegan Edwards each having three including two RBI from Edwards. Harmon Miller got the win on the bump throwing 4 2/3 innings of four run ball and giving up four hits while Aiden Forbes got a seven out save without surrendering a run. 

The Lion softball squad came up just short on the road falling to the Arrows 5-4. Arlie Lorack went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Abby Buckman gave up three earned runs in six innings in the circle and struck out nine batters. 

The baseball team improves to 5-5 while softball is now 4-5 and they get back at it tonight against Winfield-Mt. Union.
