The 10 for 50 shop local promotion in Washington has been deemed a success. The Washington Chamber of Commerce partnered with the City of Washington to host the promotion in April and May with the goal of supporting local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each time a person purchased $50 worth of goods at a Washington business, they could submit a photo of their receipt to the Chamber and then receive $10 in Chamber Bucks to use later.

In total, $15,760 of Chamber Bucks were given out. The program helped stimulate $176,741.44 worth of spending in over 60 local businesses.
