The 2020 Johnson County Fair has been cancelled. The Johnson County Agricultural Association announced the cancellation on Thursday. The fair had been scheduled for July 26th-29th. Johnson County Fair Board President Charlie Isaacs met with Johnson County Public Health, Emergency Management, the Board of Supervisors, and Fair Board members in order to see whether or not the fair could be held this year due to concerns of the COVID-19 outbreak. Isaacs says, “We want nothing more than to have a fair, however, volunteers, visitors, youth of Johnson County and staff health and safety are our main concern.” The Johnson County Agricultural Association is working to find ways to provide opportunities to showcase the talents and accomplishments of FFA and 4H members in some capacity. More information on these opportunities will be sent out to families and volunteers as details are finalized. The Fair Board invites fair-goers to the 2021 Johnson County Fair set to take place July 25th-28th.
