A Washington man was arrested for assault on a peace officer early Sunday morning in Washington. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 3:12 a.m. officers were called to an apartment building in the 300 block of West 18th Street for a man yelling. Washington Police officers responded and arrested 34-year-old Thomas John Lackender. He was charged with public intoxication and assault on a peace officer. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
