Our Top 10 Best Sports Stories Countdown for Washington from the 2019-2020 academic year continues with number eight and it takes us to the bowling lanes.

Washington Head Football Coach James Harris calls sophomore Ethan Zieglowsky the “Renaissance Man” for his many talents in various sports and the arts. One of those talents was leading the Demon bowling team all winter including a monstrous day at the Southeast Conference meet. On February 15th the “Renaissance Man” tallied at two-game score of 462 at Flamingo Lanes in Fairfield to place second by one pin. Keokuk’s Reese Krebill just edged him out with a 463, but the two pulled away from the rest of the pack with the third place finisher tallying a 419. Zieglowsky bowled a 218 in the first game and finished strong with a 244 in the second. The Demons finished fifth as a team and the girls were fourth led by Rylie Swart’s 325.

Check back in tomorrow for number seven on our countdown, as we dive into another successful swimming and archery season.
