The ninth biggest story from Hillcrest Academy athletics during the last year took us to the volleyball court where alum Tanna Boshart assumed the helm of the program. Before serving as head coach, she had been in an assistant position on the staff for the last 10 seasons. As a player, the 2003 grad was part of the 2001 state tournament team, still ranks in the top five in program history for her defense, posting 26 digs in a single match in 2002. During her time as a player, the program won 124 matches.

In her first season as head coach, the Ravens finished with an 0-27 overall record and three all-conference selections. Yani Gutierrez was a second team all-Superconference utility player while Mia Graber and Danae McGaffey were selected as honorable mentions.
