Three boys’ basketball players in the KCII listening area enjoyed standout senior campaigns and they were recently named to the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association All State Teams.

Keota’s JD Stout headlined the selections being named to the first team for class 1A. The four-year varsity player saved his best season for last, as his 29.1 points per game ranked second in the state in all classes. He shot 55.4% from the floor including 38% from behind the arc and a lethal 84.7% from the charity stripe. Stout’s arsenal expanded well beyond scoring, as he brought in 89 rebounds, dished out 70 assists, and created 42 steals.

WACO’s Nik Coble and Lone Tree’s Keegan Edwards were named to the second team. Coble led the Warriors to their first undefeated regular season in program history and is now the all-time leading rebounder at WACO. His 13.3 boards a game was second in all classes and his 14.6 points was top five in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference South division. Coble was efficient making 60.3% of his shots and also led the team with 114 assists, 62 steals, and 41 blocks. Edwards was a triple-double machine that finished the year averaging 21-8-7 in points, rebounds, and assists. He connected on 35% shots from deep, recorded 157 assists, and forced 49 steals.

Eight members were named to each team across the state for Class 1A.
