Individuals from around the state submitted their pick for the best burger in Iowa, and one area restaurant received plenty of support. Big Schwilly’s Chicken Dillys in Fairfield received enough votes to be a top ten contender for best burger in Iowa. In 2015, another Fairfeild restaurant, The Cider House, won this honor. A secret panel of judges from The Iowa Beef Industry Council and Iowa Cattlemen’s Association will be visiting the finalists in the coming months and decide which burger is truly the best. The winner will be announced on May 1st to kick off May Beef Month in Iowa.
