A new website marked the completion of a rebranding process that took Hillcrest Academy a year to accomplish. Hillcrest Academy, formerly the Iowa Menonnite School, saw a decrease in student enrollment over the years, and decided to eliminate the Menonnite from their name to help pull in new students. Director of Advancement Jeremy Ours tells KCII News what the community’s response has been to the new brand, “I feel like the community had a positive reaction to the new name. People seem to like the logo and appreciate the symbolism, especially the symbolism in the academic logo. There’s a reason behind almost every aspect of the logo. For this website now to be done and online, it’s sort of the last big step for us as we move forward under the new brand and new name. Hopefully this website is built in such a way that showcases our school. Folks that either know who we are can go there and feel good about what they see and what we are doing as a school. And folks who don’t know who we are can go there and be impressed.” Hillcrest Academy worked alongside North Star Marketing out of Burlington, North Carolina, to create the new logos and website. The new website address is www.hillcrestravens.org. The final step in the rebranding process is painting the basketball court this summer with the new name and logo. Ours says a significant amount of resources went into the rebranding process, with funds being budgeted for and coming from generous alumni donations.
