The Greater Washington Business Partnership will again be hosting an annual dinner to recognize area businesses, individuals, and volunteers. The Washington Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Washington, and Washington Economic Development Group are teaming up for the annual dinner and awards night on March 9th. Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis says it’s important to hold the event each year for the community, “I think it’s important to show recognition for the people that make our community strong. And I also love the networking part of it, and that everybody can kind of get together and celebrate on one day each year. Last year, we had 360 attendees so that was pretty impressive, and I hope to keep growing, and making it bigger and better.”

The keynote speaker will be Eric D. Olson and he’ll discuss the Disney approach to customer service. He is a professor at Iowa State University.

Tickets for the event are available and before February 25th it’s $40 per ticket, after that it goes up to $50 per person. The annual dinner will be March 9th at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort’s event center. Last year, DeLong Construction Inc. was named the Business of the Year and Lonny Mulligan received the Citizen of the Year Award.
