One week of work has been added for Washington’s leaf vacuum. The last day it will be picking up leaves is now December 6th. The machine will be picking up leaves that are placed in the terrace areas, between the street and sidewalk. It will make two more sweeps of town, with the northwest quadrant on Monday, the southwest on Tuesday, the southeast on Wednesday, and the northeast Thursday, and the two Fridays will be make up days to get those that were missed. Leaves should not be placed in the street as it can cause hazards and drainage issues.
