The Sigourney-Keota Cobra football team boasted a high powered return game in 2019. The Cobras ranked ninth in the state averaging 19.1 yards per punt return, including a touchdown. SK was also ninth in kickoff return average at 20.8 yards per return. Brady Duwa led the Cobras averaging 27 yards per kickoff return, that number is second best in class 1A for those with at least 10 returns on the season. Duwa was also the team leader averaging 26.4 yards per punt return, third most in 1A for those with at least five returns. He also scored a touchdown in the punt return game, taking a kick back for a score for 53 yards against Columbus in a 59-6 Homecoming win. The Cobras ended the season with an 8-1 overall record.
