A day to honor those who served in our armed forces will be observed Monday with Veterans Day. In observance of the federal holiday, many offices and businesses will be closed. Banks and post offices will be closed, and mail will not be delivered. American Legion Post #29 will be hosting the annual Veterans Day service at the Blair House at 10:15 a.m. Through the Hy-Vee Homefront initiative a free breakfast for veterans and active military members will be held at all Hy-Vee stores from 6-11 a.m. Monday.
