A jam packed field competed in the North Linn Cross Country Invitational over the weekend and Washington made the trip.
The boys finished ninth out of 16 teams with 238 points and Tipton took home the title with 24. Evan Horak led the way placing ninth in 17:17 and Lance Sobaski was 19th (17:44). Other top Demon finishes included Elijah Morris 73rd (19:20), Justin Simmering 76th (19:31), and Matt Collett 83rd (19:54). The girls placed 16th with 390 points and Williamsburg won it all with 40. Grace Voss was the first Demon to cross the finish line in 59th (22:35) and Hannah Rees was 81st (23:35). Other top runners included Abby Voss 86th (23:45) and Cloe Telleen 89th (23:54).
Washington gets back on the course Thursday for the Southeast Conference meet in Mount Pleasant.
