The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk cross country teams stayed in the same spots in the newest poll from the Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association. The Golden Hawk girls remain No. 1 in class 2A, ahead of second place Williamsburg. The Mid-Prairie girls last ran Monday at Hillcrest Academy where they beat the Raiders head to head in the team race. The Hawks have four ranked runners in their lineup led by Marie Hostetler No. 1, Mitzi Evans No. 9, Abbagail Evans No. 19 and Ana Fleming No. 27.

The Mid-Prairie boys are again No. 7 in this week’s poll. The Golden Hawks also ran at Hillcrest Academy on Monday where they were fourth of 13 teams. Mid-Prairie will next be in action Tuesday at the Iowa City Kickers Complex for the River Valley Conference Championships.
