A 5k to honor lost loved ones is being held in Washington’s Sunset Park and Kewash Trail this weekend. The 20th Annual Hospice of Washington County 5k is being held Sunday. Due to inclement weather on its initial date in September it has been moved to October 13th. Robyn Harvey-Kuntz with Hospice of Washington County says the event is open to anyone, not only those who have had a loved one under their care, “It’s fun. You would think that it would be kind of a somber event, but it’s really not. It’s fun. Everybody’s there celebrating, there’s a lot of laughter. There’s a lot of storytelling. And there’s a little tears, but it’s a great time.”

Registration begins at 1 p.m with the race at 2 p.m. The 5k run and walk goes through Sunset Park, Hayes Timber, and a portion of the Kewash Trail.
