Downtown Washington will be covered in chocolate next month for ChOctoberfest. The Washington Chamber of Commerce is organizing the event with businesses around the square. Attendees will be able to get a passport, then go from business to business and sample different chocolates. At each business the attendee’s passport will be marked and at the end the passport can be turned in for a raffle drawing. Event Coordinator Alisha Davis says this will be replacing the usual October event, “So this is replacing the Moonlight Madness. We’re just kind of changing things up and trying something different. The retailers will still be offering some discounts, but they just are going to be focusing more on sampling the chocolates, and getting into their stores and seeing what they have.”

Chocolates will have a variety of types including vegan chocolates and chocolate martinis. Check out ChOctoberfest in downtown Washington on Thursday, October 17th 5-8 p.m.
