The Columbus Wildcats hit the road in search of their first win in 2019 when they travel to Garwin to take on GMG Friday night. Columbus comes into the game with an overall record of 0-2 after a 38-0 loss to Cardinal and a 55-6 setback against Highland. The Wildcats offense has 385 total yards and one touchdown through the first two games of the season. They have rushed for 255 yards on 69 attempts. Bawi UK leads the Columbus passing game, going nine of 26 through the air for 130 yards and four interceptions. His favorite target is Will Schwab with three catches for 28 yards. Schwab also leads the ground game with 162 yards on 42 carries and the lone Wildcat touchdown so far this year. Schwab is also the leading tackler this season with 13 total stops.

GMG comes into the game with an overall record of 0-1 after a 46-8 loss to Martensdale St. Marys last week. The Wolverines posted just 89 total yards in their first game of the year, 45 of that through the air on the arm of Adam Cox who is four of 12 for 45 yards. Kooper Gill is his top target with a pair of catches for 29 yards. The Wolverine ground game is led by Noah Ratliff with five carries for 21 yards. Conner Murty leads the GMG defense with nine and a half tackles. These two teams met a year ago with the Wolverines taking a 32-0 win. Action kicks off Friday at GMG High School in Garwin.
