The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk and Lone Tree Lion volleyball teams will be on the court Monday for the first time in 2019 against an opponent when they travel to Wilton for a scrimmage. The Golden Hawks were 7-23 a season ago. They are led by first year head coach Sherry Evans, who was a volleyball standout at Iowa Wesleyan in Mount Pleasant.

Lone Tree was 1-27 a season ago with their lone win coming against Tri-County two sets to one in their season opening tournament. The Golden Hawks and Lady Lions will be joined at tonight’s event by Anamosa, Camanche, Durant, Montezuma, North Cedar, Regina and Wilton. Action begins at 4:30 at Wilton High School.
