Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk basketball standout Cale Robertson will continue his career on the hardwood at the collegiate level this winter. Robertson will join the Coe College KoHawk basketball team this year. He told KCII sports how he made the decision. “I realized after the season, I really love basketball and I don’t want to go without it. I started emailing coaches and Coe was interested. We went on a visit, I liked the place, coach and facilities. It felt right. They liked that I can shoot the basketball and the three pointer at a really high rate.”

Robertson was a force for the Golden Hawks on the offensive end of the floor during his career, finishing seventh in the River Valley Conference at 13 points per game his senior year. The Golden Hawks were fourth in class 2A from behind the arc, hitting at a 38% clip including Robertson’s 43% mark. He led the team with 45 made three point goals, sixth most in the River Valley Conference. His 80% from the free throw line led the RVC for those with at least 30 attempts on the season. The Kohawks were 14-12 last season with an 8-8 mark in the Iowa Conference. Mid-Prairie finished with a 10-11 overall record. While at Coe, Robertson plans to be major in pre-law and business.
