This week the show ring at the Iowa State Fair dedicated time to a great cause. The Iowa Cattlemen’s Association held their 37th annual Governor’s Charity Steer Show August 10th. Participating from the KCII listening area were Tate Boysen of Columbus Junction with his steer Hot Off the Grill. The steer was purchased by family and friends of Tate Boysen, in memory of his father, Aaron Boysen for $11,500. Hot Off the Grill was one of 25 steers that participated, helping to raise $284,000 for the Ronald McDonald House.
