A candidate for the 2020 Democratic nomination for President will be making a stop in Mt. Pleasant this week.

U.S. Senator Kamala Harris will be visiting the Hawkeye State next week that will feature an event in Henry County. The Senator from California will be hosting a rally Sunday at Central Park. The event will start at 6:50 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. This will be Harris’ first event in the KCII listening area since announcing her Presidential campaign in January.
