The Washington County Sheriff’s Office had a sergeant give his final radio call as he retired. Sergeant Darren Dennler retired from the office and was given well wishes by dispatchers, “It is our pleasure to announce that on July 17th at 15:04 hours, Sgt. Darren Dennler of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is retiring after 24 years of dedication and sacrifice, not only to Washington County as a deputy sheriff and Crawfordsville first responder, but also to your country as a military veteran. We wish you health and happiness as you spend your days in retirement with Zoey and Karen doing the things you love. 92-9 this is no the last ride but the beginning of a new trail. We thank you for your service, 92-9 is 10-42.” He served in the department for 24 years.
