A Mt. Pleasant man will face additional charges after damaging jailhouse computer equipment.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:35 p.m. Sunday officers arrested 29-year-old Kenneth Arthur Cole Franklin of Mt. Pleasant and transported him to the Henry County Jail. While law enforcement was booking Franklin, he became combative and started damaging equipment at the jail.

Franklin is now being charged with third-degree criminal mischief, assault on persons in certain occupations, and interference with official acts.
