A local dancer will be taking their talents to the stage at the Iowa State Fair.

Lydia Fisher of Wapello won first place in the senior division at the annual Bill Riley talent search at the Washington County Fair. There were a total of 19 performers who took the stage Wednesday evening at the Washington Community Center. Performances included clog dancing, singing, and hip-hop dance. Fisher earned the grand prize of $100 and will get to perform in the talent search at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines.
