An agriculture-technology startup company of a Washington resident has received the National Hog Farmer Producer’s Choice Award. Chris Hanson is a co-founder of FarrPro. The award was presented for the company’s Haven product, which helps warm piglets. The product is a curved reflector shield with a heat element that allows piglets to spread out on the evenly distributed heat instead of piling on top of each other or the sow for warmth. The product was selected by the most online votes of readers of the National Hog Farmer magazine.
