The Iowa Mennonite School softball team saw their season come to an end Monday in the first round of the class 1A regional tournament at Brooklyn against BGM by a 12-0 score in four innings. IMS threatened early with runners on second and third in the first inning but were unable to score. Meanwhile, the BGM offense started hot and stayed there with three runs in the first, four in the second, a pair in the third and three more in the fourth. BGM finished with 12 hits as a team and every batter scored at least one run for the Bears. IMS finished with four hits, led by Suzanna Yoder who was two for two with a pair of singles. Leah Bontrager took the loss for IMS working all four innings. IMS graduates seniors Yoder and Rubye Ney, they finish the year with a 3-20 overall record. BGM is now 12-13 and will play Winfield-Mt. Union Wednesday in Winfield after the Wolves beat Tri-County 9-1 Monday.
