Molly Sparks tossed another gem in the circle, but the Washington softball bats went cold in a 1-0 loss at Durant on Tuesday.

Sparks dealt six strong innings giving up just six hits, no walks, and one run in the fifth inning. The Demon bats could only muster up three hits that came from Kellie Dallmeyer, Kaitlyn Mitchell, and Haylee Wilson. The non-conference matchup was supposed to be a doubleheader, but game two was called due to weather.

Washington drops to 21-12 and they face West Burlington in a single game this evening. The next Demon broadcast on KCII will be Friday at Mid-Prairie on AM 1380 and FM 102.5 while the baseball game against both schools will be on FM 106.1.
