All of the Highland softball scoring Wednesday night came in the second inning and that’s all they needed to down New London by a 5-2 final.

Dani Laughlin and Aly Stokes each had two-RBI knocks and Jenna Sands had a run batted in. Sarah Schneider also had a pair of hits with one run scored for a six-hit Huskie offense. Megan Hoenig went the distance in the circle giving up one earned run on eight hits.

Highland improves to 13-7 and get back on the diamond tonight at Columbus.
