It will be a KCII area battle in Kalona tonight, as the Mid-Prairie softball team welcomes Washington for a non-conference bout.
The 13-10 Demons are coming off of a tough doubleheader loss to Fairfield on Monday by a combined three runs. Molly Sparks, Cara Linnenkamp, and Alexa Mitchell each gave up just one earned run in the losses. The Demons scattered 13 hits led by Kellie Dallmeyer going 3-for-7. Mid-Prairie is 6-13 and split with West Branch on Monday night. Cassidy Rourke threw a complete game shutout in the first contest and Georgia Nisly went 3-for-4 with two RBI in the nightcap. These two squads met June 1stin a tournament with the Demons coming away with a slight 5-4 victory.
