Southeast Iowa Super Conference baseball and softball was held in Lone Tree on Tuesday night, as Highland made the short trip and both schools ended in a split.

On the softball diamond, efficiency was the name of the game with Highland making quick work in a 12-0 win in three innings. The Huskies plated three runs in the first, broke out for eight in the second, and managed one more in the third to make for a short night. Highland pelted 10 hits on the Lions led by Abbie Miller going 2-for-3 with a home run and five runs knocked in. Emily Yahnke added a pair of hits and two RBI. Megan Hoenig picked up the win in the circle going three innings and giving up six hits. Highland improved to 8-5 and Lone Tree drops to 4-8.

Across the way on the baseball diamond the Lions returned the favor with a 14-4 victory in six innings. Lone Tree scored in every inning but the fifth headlined by a six run second that the Huskies could never recover from. The Lions had eight hits led by a home run and three RBI from Bryce Houser. Keegan Edwards went 2-for-4 with one run knocked in. Avery Knock was the winning pitcher going 2 2/3 innings giving up three runs on four hits. Lone Tree is 6-3 and the Huskies are 4-5.
