A car hit a semi head-on on Highway 92 Monday. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 3:37 p.m. a Dodge passenger car crossed the centerline in front of a semi and the two collided. The wreck happened about two miles east of Washington. Iowa State Patrol, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Ainsworth QRS, Ainsworth Fire Department, Washington County Ambulance, Washington Fire Department, Washington Rescue and Air Care were called to the scene. Washington County Ambulance arrived on scene and disregarded Air Care and a second ambulance. One person was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. Names of those involved were not released.
