Winning one of three games in a weekend tournament at Eddyville, the Sigourney softball team bounced back in a big way defeating South Iowa Cedar League foe Montezuma 9-1 on Monday night.

The Savage offense scratched across two runs in the third before breaking out for five in the fifth and adding insurance late for the big victory. Jordan VanEe was stellar in the circle throwing a complete game giving up one run on two hits and striking out 10. The senior also got it done at the plate going 2-for-4 with three RBI and Julia VanEe added a pair of hits.

Sigourney is 11-5 on the year and hosts North Mahaska tomorrow.
