It was a pitcher’s dual early and the offenses came to life late in an 8-2 Highland softball win over Iowa Mennonite on Monday in Riverside. Things were scoreless through the first four innings. In the fifth IMS broke that tie with a Suzanna Yoder hit that drove in Yani Gutierrez and Norah Yoder. Down 2-0, Highland responded with five in the bottom half of the inning and three more in the sixth to pull away for the win. With the win, Highland is now 7-5, IMS falls to 0-7.
