Another season full of accomplishments has come to a close for the Washington girls’ golf program, as they finished the class 3A state golf tournament in Ankeny on Wednesday in sixth place.

The Demons place sixth out of 10 teams with a 36-hole score of 750 while Dubuque Wahlert won it all with 653. Kiki Guo wrapped up her sophomore campaign in fourth with 11 strokes above par 153. Britta Snyder from Gilbert ran away with the crown shooting an impressive 135 (-7). Other Demon scoring included Josie Tanner 183, Emily Waite 196, Carly Burlingame 218, and Macy Driscoll 247. Emma Nichols and Madison Fishback each competed in 18-holes and finished with 121 and 130 strokes, respectively.

Expect the dynasty to continue to grow in 2020, as Burlingame is the only golfer lost to graduation.
